With trap pouch and 4/6 close wounds, remove curse, evasion, confidence and potions, this character is the tankiest template possible in UO. This character has no resist because I dont see the need. The downside is the slightly longer casting speed, I reckon it is a tick longer (+0.25s) than flame strike. Not too bad but heres where it gets insane, it does not fizzle ever. I have 20k Karma and on a 70 resist character non-cursed, each Holy Fist does about 34-36 damage. I am testing Holy Fist on Genos the bushido dexxer after losing to Dont Hate aka Psychedelic who uses Holy Fist very effectively. This week is very exciting because I have 2 new suits and 1 new template to test! I shall talk about the new suits another time, lets talk about the new template. Once again this suit is designed and built by Diesel and it works so well. The suit cost 500m to put together including the arties, not that expensive in today’s market. This suit also have 100 DI for maximum pain on moving shots (simply the best special ever). The pic below shows my suit, the suit is potted stats and is cursed proof, meaning I still get 211 stam after cursed. The stam obi and cameo from the latest time of legend expansion makes it a lot easier. This is the most lag friendly template to play.Īrcher suit used to be every difficult to put together but in recent months it is easier. Same input intensity as dexxer but it does not need to be right next to the oppoenent. How do you catch up with someone who pings 20ms on a 150ms character? Its going to be trememdously difficult. melees need to keep chasing opponents and be right next to them. There really isnt much input, probably 1/5 of mage so lag doesnt impact it as much, or does it? Well, it does. Dexxer doesnt need to cast, they use weapons special which is just once every 1.25s, bandage is once every 5s. Thats a lot of lag involved for playing a mage because it is just so input intensive. Each spell is an input and each cost 150ms of lag. Think about a mage’s miniheal for example, to heal 50 damage I probably have to press the heal hotkey 4 times, assume my ping is 150ms, thats a total of 600ms of lag for casting 4 miniheals. The lag comes whenever there is an input from the player. Weapon swing 1.25s is server side, it does not matter if I ping 30ms or 3000ms, you are going to shoot at 1.25s. Though I use battleping to improve my connection, I am still not as fast as someone with 30ms ping, never will. All this done without needing to be close to the enemies! Chasing down someone? dismount that piece of trash. Focus dumping on a target? send them a mortal shot for hastened death. Team being chased by opponents? No problem, do a para shot to slow them down. Thats plenty to finish off a redlined opponent. On a 100DI char, moving shot does 22 base damage and if you add lightning and velocity procs, its easily a 45 damage moving shot. Archers can do moving shots and kill runnaway opponents with ease and painfully. Human natural instinct kicks in when the life bar is all red, he runs. Mages always struggled with that last spell to finish off the opponent. If an enemy has no parry, he is going to eat dirt in seconds. There is a difference between knowing it and experiencing it.Īrchers do incredible damage every 1.25s on a 211 stam suit. What a revelation! Though the information here is not new, I could’nt help but feel so new about it. It is only last week that I took the courage to try playing an archer, inspired by de leeted and trevor obviously. I love playing mages (3 mages) and I spent the most time and gold on mage suits. The ability to do damage and heal at range is incredibly powerful be it in field fighting or dueling.
